Excellent work, Ashley!

You've demonstrated a good understanding of concepts covered in this course. You have applied many of the principles of Visual Design & Display of Information to your design blog, and I can see that you have developed the language of design, through your entries in this blog!

It's been a pleasure reading your blog. Keep up the great work and best of luck with your work as a web designer!

Javascript is the way to go! –I'm impressed!
You are well on your way to becoming a seasoned, professional web designer.

Hi Ashley,
(Hi Drew)

It seems we have a few foodies in the course!

There is a critic of Web Design for Accessibility. Perhaps you've heard of him? ... His name is Joe Clark.

Drew- I totally agree. I have seen Kitchen Nightmares, and I really wish there were a Gordon Ramsay character out there for just this purpose. Great analogy!

I really think that a lot of those 'websites that suck' have just way too much content. Maybe in the early days of web design, people wanted to put all their information in one place (the homepage).
Have you ever seen Kitchen Nightmare's or Restaurant Makeover? The first thing the chef does is eliminate 50% of the menu. I think that those web designers would benefit from a visit from Gordon f'n Ramsay!

Hi Ashley,

I enjoyed learning about this resource –I especially liked the 'Font Conference Video'.

Just yesterday, I was in Time Square looking at all of the various billboards and the multitude of fonts they use, which seem to compete for attention. Interestingly, they have an aesthetic quality that works well for photos.... but definately not, for instructional design purposes, where the message needs to be uncluttered and simple.
